Alabama Christian - Michael Summers leaves Alabama Christian after five seasons leading the football program. His record was 32-24 during that time. 2026 Season - J.L. Dockins graduated from Faulkner University in 2015. Dockins spent a decade at Alabama Christian Academy as a record-setting offensive coordinator under Head Coaches Michael Summers and Nate Sanford. He most recently served as the offensive coordinator at Wetumpka High School. Coosa Christian - Rush Propst stepped into the head coaching position at Coosa Christian when someone needed to fill the shoes of suspended head coach Mark O'Bryant for the season. All he did was take the Conquerors to the championship game in Birmingham and bring home the first Blue Map in school history. O'Bryant returned briefly in 2026 to a team loaded with talent in hopes of a return trip to the championship game in Mobile in 2026. Later he resigned to pursue other options. 2026 Season - Alaric Williams, the offensive coordinator at Coosa Christian, has been named to replace Coach O'Bryant following his resignation. Williams spent the past three seasons as the offensive coordinator at the school after one year leading the quarterbacks. He graduated from Southside High School where he was a four-star athlete. Mars Hill - Darrell Higgins built a juggernaut at Mars Hill but will take his talents to Russellville in 2026. Over the past ten seasons his Panthers went from 0-10 in his first season with the program to 15-0 in 2025 and a second consecutive state championship. He leaves Mars Hill with a record of 107-27 in those ten seasons and a playoff record of 29-5. 2026 Season - Chris Hill brings more than 30 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. Hill arrives from El Dorado High in Arkansas, where he served as the head football coach the past three seasons. Before his time at El Dorado, Hill served as the offensive coordinator at Harding University. He was also a graduate of the college. Providence Christian - Kenny Keith retired from his position as head football coach in December. After fifteen seasons leading the program he put together a 91-62 record at the school. He led the team to the playoffs nine times including the last three seasons. Providence will now be in search of just the third head coach since the school first played varsity football in 2006. 2026 Season - Evan Ballard takes over the football program at Providence Christian after three seasons as Dale County's head coach. Ballard inherits a program with a solid foundation and headed in the right direction thanks to Coach Keith. St. James - Larry Ware served as interim head football coach during the 2025 season filling the void when Aubrey Blackwell left the position. Now the Trojans will be in search of their fifth head coach in as many years. Just three short years ago St. James defeated Piedmont to claim the school's first ever state championship under Jimmy Perry. Since then it has been one and done for the head coaching position. The Trojans' have built a winning tradition the past decade and hopes are high those winning ways will continue with the right hire. Look for a long list of candidates for this job. 2026 Season - Hayden Stockton brings more than 25 years of coaching experience at both the collegiate and high school levels and currently serves as Saint James' strength and conditioning coach. Stockton is a native of Winston County and was a member of the Alabama football program between 1992-1996. He has been a head coach at Marbury for two seasons and West End for another three years. St. Lukes - Joe Gilmore and St. Luke's mutually agreed to part ways during the off season. Gilmore served two seasons at the school and produced a 7-13 record and one playoff appearance. 2026 Season - Rick Cauley is a veteran head coach in the Mobile area having been at Murphy, B.C. Rain and Davidson. He will now work to build the football program at St. Luke's in 2026. | |
